Tom worked in London for the last 15 years at some of the UK's best restaurants, cutting his teeth with mentor Anthony Demetre and Will Smith at Arbutus & Wild Honey. He was head chef at the acclaimed Arbutus, holding a Michelin star & 4 AA rosettes. His wife and three daughters are the inspiration behind “Three Sisters”.

Keith roasts the coffee for Life on High, and had a previous life working on climate change policy and emission reduction strategies. He lives with his family just outside Sevenoaks.

Our roots: Hall of Fame

Anna helped establish Life on High, providing inspiration for the direction of the menu and the welcoming look and feel of the space. She has written more emails and taken more phone calls to arrange so many parties: as many words as we’ve served coffees.

Katie and Carl, of Fine Dining Chef, Tandem Catering, and now, brilliantly, the George and Dragon, Chipstead. From humble pop-up beginnings in lock-down, to dancing on benches, a powerhouse couple who have left their mark, and are already missed.

Lorna – formerly our head chef, working with Carl – now with Whites in London. We still follow some of her recipes, they’re that good.

Lyndon – formerly our day-night manager, and general problem solver. A big softie, don’t let appearances deceive.

Zac and Dan – gun barista and talented chef, two Aussie mates who really helped set our coffee and food direction. Its Dan’s smashed avo, and eggs royale – still two of our best regarded dishes.

& everyone else who has worked at Life on High, and helped us get to this point in time. The names are now too many to mention... but their support and dedication over the years is appreciated, and wont ever be forgotten.
