A wonderful group of talented staff

In the kitchen led by Chef Director Carl Williams we have Magda, Dom, Oscar, Jez, Danielle, Khaled & Sara who produce consistently wonderful food from pastries through to lunch, evening bites and beautiful grazing boards.

Front of house are our talented baristas & Managers Emma & Hayley & our brilliant team; Vicky, Alona, Ashley, Abigail, Maya, Izzy, Jamie, Isla, Lexie, Clem, Will, Scarlett, Isla & Hugo, not forgetting the evening team consisting of John “the door security“ & DJ Adam & DJ Glen of Your Brothers Hifi!

Life on High is a continually evolving concept, a result of the creativity and energy of Keith, Carl, Anna & Keith.. Many a night is spent messaging frantically on whatsapp, talking through a new idea or concept. We really do spend hours trying to get it right. We hope its worth it.

Anna fell in love with the cafe vibe in her 20s while studying for insurance exams in London. She has always been fascinated with food tasting amazing but also making you feel nourished. Anna & Dan met Keith in Hong Kong where their children went to school together. When realising they had both relocated to Sevenoaks, they started to discuss how much the High Street needed a social space with both amazing coffee and plant based food…  the simple vision for Life on High. Anna manages all our private hire & parties, which is a huge job in its own right!

Carl and Katie live locally in Riverhead. Carl is a local born chef (Kemsing!) & they are the owners of Fine Dining Chef & Tandem Catering (Sevenoaks), Carl started his career at the prestigious Connaught Hotel whilst it held its 2 Michelin stars. Carls talents have been recognised becoming a finalist in Kentlife Chef of the Year. They have two boys age 17 & 14 & they are instrumental in the management of the food team and development of evening events. Katie also runs all our social media & marketing, keeping Facebook and Instagram up to date & exciting!

Keith and his family (Belinda, two boys and the lovely Clio – a HK rescue dog) also live locally. Keith is a coffee nut, who desperately needed great coffee while working on climate change policy in Hong Kong, starting first a cafe and then a craft roastery - Redback Specialty Coffee - with two Australian coffee experts. Redback will be guiding, training and imparting roasting know-how.

We are often in and around the cafe, both working and enjoying the food/coffee/evenings with our families. Please say hello!
